Flea & Tick Preparation
The following steps should be taken prior to our service.
1. We require that the floor area be thoroughly cleaned. Have all carpets cleaned and vacuumed; also upholstered furniture should be vacuumed. Sweep and mop non-carpeted floors. Be sure the vacuum bag and the other rubbish be placed in a plastic bag, sealed and thrown away. Leave the broom and mop in an obvious place so we can treat them.
2. Pick up everything off the floor with the exception of furnishings.
3. Pick up everything you can to the exterior of the house. Your yard should be clean. The cleaner your surroundings the less likely you will have a recurring pest problem.
4. Wash all pet bedding with hot water.
5. When we arrive, take your pets with you. Treat your animal at the same time of our treatment. We recommend that a vet treat your animals for fleas or buy, from your vet, a flea shampoo and treat the animal yourself. Treat your animals weekly for a period of one month and then every other week thereafter. Refer to current labels.
6. Do not wash carpeted area for two weeks after treatment.
7. If you have cats or dogs that go beyond your property, you will probably get fleas again.
