Initial Interior Preparation for Pest Management

If you truly wish to rid your home of unwanted pests then there are a few things that you must do prior to your initial treatment.
1. Remove items from areas of infestations. These areas generally include the kitchen, bathroom and pantry cabinets.
2. Remove shelf paper unless it’s contact paper in the kitchen and bathroom.
3. All counter tops cleared except small kitchen appliances (blenders, mixers and toasters) may stay for treatment
4. Put exposed food items in the refrigerator, or place in sealed plastic bags.
5. Take a mild cleaning solution and wipe down drawers, cabinets, and counter tops prior to our arrival.

Ants and roaches need food and water. They also need access to your home. You can take some simple steps to help control nuisance pests, you can be part of the solution.
INSIDE:
Clean up spilled food and beverages with appropriate cleaners
Consistently take out your trash.
Rinse out jars, cans, bottles, and other containers before you place them in trash cans and recycling areas.
Pick up, seal and store your pet's food.
Clean out cluttered closets and areas on a regular basis. |
OUTSIDE:
Seal doors and windows. (Pests commonly gain access through these areas)
Keep rain gutters clean to prevent moisture build up. (water resource)
Trim trees and shrubs away from your house; ants can use limbs to gain access.
