Summary: This job is ideal for someone who can answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist customers in accordance with Bowman Termite and Pest standards and guidelines.
This position performs local and neighbor island scheduling of appointments, and basic phone customer service.

The ideal employee will be able to gain the required skills and thorough knowledge through on-the-job training to be able to ensure the quality of all related customer service activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
*High School Diploma or GED (Required). With at least 1 year of office administration experience.

• Able to work at Bowman Termite and Pest, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. This is a requirement.

• Primary Duty to the Sentricon Termite Elimination System.

Position Description: The purpose of this position is to provide outstanding tent fumigation service to residential and/or commercial customers by having excellent communication skills and being able to work with a team. Needs to be able to provide excellent customer service. Must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling and lots of walking. Must be able to lift and carry weights up to one hundred and twenty-five (125) pounds. Work in a drug free environment. Drivers License is required. Our goal is to build long term mutually beneficial relationships with our customers and employees, and provide a superior service experience on each and every appointment.

Your Daily Responsibilities include:

• Be courteous and exceed customers expectations on every service
• Inspect and diagnose problems then render the appropriate service according to company protocols
• Communicate effectively with customers and company by following companies communication protocols. This will require being proficient with a handheld mobile device, which will be your primary means of communicating service data.
• Be willing and able to perform services outside of regular working hours to accommodate customer needs periodically.
• Work cooperatively with all team members to deliver the best customer experience possible.

• Work 40 hours a week. Monday-Friday only.

Experience and knowledge:
Must have above average communication skills, both written and oral. Perseverance, willingness to work hard and the ability to listen well to the customer are necessary qualities. Must have the ability to identify the customers needs. A passion for providing excellent service is necessary to succeed in this position. Successful applicant will be a self-starter. A high school education or the equivalent experience, is required. Experience working alone with indirect supervision is a must. Must be readily able to take and carry out instructions. Compensation: Guaranteed starting salary of $20.00 per hour for applicants with little or no experience. Once you pass your D.O.A. Certification (we will provide you with paid training to prepare you for the exam), you will earn a $1.50 per hour increase. Applicants with a proven track record in providing fumigation management services and/or with current D.O.A Certification will qualify for higher starting pay. $23-26 per hour.

Immediate opening for Pest Management Technician to work in a drug free environment on Maui for a well established, family owned business on Maui.

A pest control technician is responsible for providing pest remediation and prevention solutions to residential and commercial property owners. The duties of pest control techs include conducting inspections for insects and vermin and advising on and implementing effective treatment plans to remedy infestations.

A qualified pest control technician should be confident in their ability to handle multiple duties and responsibilities on any given workday. The primary responsibility of a pest control technician is to detect and eliminate unwelcome pests from homes and businesses. Some specific pest control technician duties include:

• Conducting thorough interior and exterior inspections to locate dangerous pests
• Offering sound advice on both chemical and natural pest control remediation options
• Providing estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance
• Setting traps for rodents
• Spraying perimeters of homes and structures for termites, ants and other insects
• Safe and efficient removal of wasp, hornet and bees nests
• Laying down bait pellets to eliminate rats and mice
• Covering holes with foam, mesh and wood to hinder rodent entry
• Recommending products and services for effective pest control

Bowman Termite has been in operation since 2001, and many of our employees have been with us since opening. We have been family owned and operated since the start.

Must be honest, reliable, service and people oriented with a valid driver’s license.

Experience preferred, but willing to train. Must be willing to obtain DOA certification, we provide on the job training.

Monday through Friday work week, starting pay $20-$26/hr depending on qualifications, bonus available after successfully completing probation.
